Developing over the last 50 years, information literacy (IL) has been recognized as an applied discipline with a shared history, theories, and methods that guide teaching and research. To strengthen society’s ability to withstand future information challenges, IL educators of tomorrow must continue to shape the discipline. In this Huddle, we will brainstorm ways current practitioners can connect with students in library and information science programs to work together to envision a future in which the discipline of IL evolves to be responsive to the information needs of future generations.
